City of Hamilton Celebrates Battery Recycling Success

Last fall, Hamiltonians joined together to divert more than 6,300 kilograms of batteries from landfills as part of the “Easy as 1-2-3” Battery Collection Drive. They celebrated that success with a special community event on Sunday, March 6. The event was hosted by Call2Recycle®, North America’s only free battery and cell phone collection program, hockey legend Guy Lafleur and the City of Hamilton.
