Single-Use

Single-use batteries are not reusable when they lose their charge. They are commonly found in remote controls, car keyless entry remotes, watches, pacemakers, hearing aids, memory backup fire alarm devices, military electronics, toys, etc.

Rechargeables

Rechargeable batteries are commonly found in cordless power tools, cordless phones, laptops, cellphones, cameras, two-way radios, biomedical equipment, etc.

eMobility

eMobility batteries are the (typically) lithium-ion batteries used to propel eBikes, eSkateboards, eScooters, and Hoverboards. eMobility batteries are rechargeable and feature high energy density.

In British Columbia, regulations require that eMobility products (eBikes, eSkateboards, eScooters, and Hoverboards) be recycled responsibly, in their entirety, at the end of their useful life.
