For the third consecutive year, Call2Recycle Canada has partnered with Earth Rangers, a kids’ conservation organization, to raise awareness for battery recycling with Canadian kids. In April and May, a Battery Blitz School Mission team will be visiting 50 schools in British Columbia, Manitoba and New Brunswick to encourage students to collect used batteries. The school that collects the most batteries will win a pizza party for their entire school.
Kids can also get involved in an online mission via the Earth Rangers web site. During February and March, kids can undertake a mission to amp up their collections and send in photos to win one of 10 $25 iTunes gift cards and a pizza party.
