In British Columbia, batteries are included in the Recycling Regulation under the Environmental Management Act. As the official, government-approved stewardship program in BC, Call2Recycle provides battery collection and recycling across the province.

In Manitoba, batteries are included in the Household Hazardous Material and Prescribed Material Stewardship Regulation, under Manitoba’s Waste Reduction and Prevention (WRAP) Act.  As the official, government-approved stewardship program in MB, Call2Recycle provides battery collection and recycling across the province.

In Ontario, single-use or primary batteries, are included under the Bill 151, Waste-Free Ontario Act, 2016; however, Call2Recycle is not the approved program.  Call2Recycle continues to offer Ontario residents access to convenient collection and recycling locations for rechargeable batteries.
