At the start of each year, we take a moment to look back at the previous year’s accomplishments. And what a year 2023 was, as we broke both existing records and new ground in the battery recycling sector! This past year saw more batteries than ever before collected through Call2Recycle. It also saw major transformations for our organization and our market, through the strategic initiatives implemented during the year.
Every achievement and every milestone we reached this year became a reality because of our valued members, the dedication of our retail and municipal collection partners, and the efficiency of our sorters, transporters and recyclers. Thanks to all of you, our members, partners, collectors, and to every Canadian who remembers that recycling batteries makes a difference. We greatly appreciate the trust that all of you have put in Call2Recycle to run this exceptional program that continues expanding and recycling more batteries every year in a safe and effective manner. I invite you to take a moment to read about the successes of this monumental year and while doing so, I hope you too will celebrate the role that you have played in making all of it happen.
