The City of North Bay (ON) has recently been celebrated in the media as a leader in household battery recycling. The city was among the organizations awarded the Leader in Sustainability Award from Call2Recycle for its outstanding commitment to the environment in 2023.
Every year, Call2Recycle recognizes its most committed collection partners through the Leader in Sustainability Awards, reflecting their collection results as well as their exceptional commitment to the environment and responsible battery management.
As an award winner for four years in a row, North Bay collected more than 13,300 kg of used batteries in 2023 – more than double the amount collected in 2021.
